Risograph Printmaking Workshop (Sat 22nd March)
Saturday 22nd March (10:00am - 1:00pm)
A Risograph printmaking workshop to create your own 2 colour, limited edition A3 prints.
During the workshop, we will Introduce you to this creative and eco friendly print process, check out printed examples and learn how to use the Risograph printer. We will then create original collages or drawings which will be directly scanned onto the printer for duplication into a limited edition of 10 x 2-colour A3 artist prints.
You are invited to leave your laptop at home for this one as we will be making original collages to be scanned directly onto the printer but if you would like to prepare some work in advance, please bring B&W printed copies that you are happy to cut up or trace at A3 size or smaller.
This 3 hour workshop offers the perfect introduction to Riso, enabling you to understand this unique and quirky print process with endless self-publishing possibilities. Suitable for artists interested in publishing their own limited-edition artist prints, zines or publications, or those simply want to explore, using mark making and drawing techniques along with collage and photography - RISO offers plenty of scope for individual creativity.
Once you have completed the workshop, why not join the Roots Press Membership to use the open access print sessions to print your own work!?
