Saturday 15th November (11am - 4pm)
Our In Collaboration With… workshops bring RISO together with other art forms to spark creative curiosity, conversation, and connections.
Our second session is led by printmaker, educator, and self-confessed colour obsessive Sue Lewry. You’ll explore language, story, and form through abstract typography, creating collaged pieces that draw on your own experiences.
Open to absolute beginners through to seasoned pros, this workshop invites you to experiment and play with words and phrases. You’ll cut, montage, and arrange fragments into expressive compositions layered with colour, texture, and Riso printing supported by Roots Press founder, designer and artist, Amy Jemmett.
Artist bios:
Sue Lewry: Sue’s practice moves between the studio, the community, and unexpected places, always exploring how words, shapes, and colour can come together in surprising ways. Her workshops are playful and experimental, creating space for raw, joyful, and unplanned creative outcomes. This session grows directly from her current artistic practice, giving you a chance to step into her creative process.
Amy Jemmett: Amy heads the Roots Press studio, working as a designer and Riso printer. With a background in contemporary crafts and site specific installations, Amy's work is process led and utilises a broad range of sustainable materials within her artistic expression.
